Anxiety Therapy

Anxiety is a common mental health condition characterized by feelings of fear, worry, and unease. It serves as a "fight or flight" response, alerting a person to potential threats or dangers. This response can involve physical symptoms, such as a rapid heartbeat, sweating, and restlessness. While occasional anxiety is a normal reaction to stressful situations, it becomes a problem when the fear and worry are excessive, persistent, and interfere with daily activities and quality of life.  With the support from a member of our team, clients can develop effective anxiety management skills and cultivate lasting confidence and empowerment.

Common therapies for anxiety include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). CBT is a highly effective, short-term treatment that focuses on identifying and changing the negative thought patterns and behaviors that fuel anxiety. A key component of CBT is exposure therapy, where a person is gradually and safely exposed to their fears to build a sense of control and reduce anxiety over time.
