At Beenen Therapy Group, our KAP trained therapists partner with doctors from Journey Clinical to provide Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP). Journey Clinical manages the medical aspects of treatment, including evaluation, prescribing, and dose management, while our therapists provide a safe, supportive therapeutic environment to guide you through your healing journey.

How is the Ketamine Administered?

The ketamine used through Journey Clinical is provided as a rapidly dissolving tablet called a sublingual troche. During treatment:

• The tablet is placed under the tongue
• It is swished in the mouth for approximately 10 minutes
• The medication is then spit out

What Does the Process Look Like?

Step 1: Initial Consultation at Beenen Therapy Group

You will first meet with a therapist at Beenen Therapy Group to discuss your treatment goals, review your history, and determine whether Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) may be a good fit for you.

Step 2: Referral to Journey Clinical

If you and your therapist decide to move forward with KAP, your therapist will submit a referral to our medical partner, Journey Clinical.

Step 3: Medical Evaluation Through Journey Clinical

After receiving the referral, Journey Clinical will contact you directly to schedule your initial medical evaluation with one of their licensed medical providers via Zoom. During this appointment, the provider will assess whether KAP is medically appropriate for you.

Step 4: Medication Approval and Delivery

If approved, Journey Clinical will prescribe and ship enough ketamine medication for your first two KAP sessions.

Step 5: Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy Sessions

You will participate in KAP sessions with your therapist at Beenen Therapy Group in a safe and supportive therapeutic environment.

KAP sessions typically last 2–3 hours.
We recommend beginning with a 3-hour session.
The ketamine used is a rapidly dissolving sublingual tablet (troche) that is swished in the mouth for approximately 10 minutes and then spit out.

Step 6: Integration and Follow-Up

Following each KAP session, you will meet with your therapist for an integration session to process your experience and apply insights gained during treatment.

Step 7: Continued Treatment Through Journey Clinical

After your first two KAP sessions, you will have a follow-up appointment with your Journey Clinical provider to discuss your response to treatment and make any necessary dosage adjustments. If appropriate, Journey Clinical will prescribe the remaining six doses.

Typical Treatment Schedule

A standard course of treatment consists of:

One KAP session per week
Approximately eight total sessions

How much does it cost?

Journey Clinical handles all medical services related to Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy, including medical evaluations, prescribing, dose management, and medication fulfillment. Clients work directly with Journey Clinical and are responsible for paying Journey Clinical separately.

Initial Medical Appointment: $330

Includes the medical evaluation with a Journey Clinical medical provider
Includes ketamine medication for the first two KAP sessions

Follow-Up Medical Appointment: $250

Includes a follow-up evaluation to review progress and adjust dosage if needed
Includes ketamine medication for the remaining six KAP sessions

All Journey Clinical appointments are conducted virtually via Zoom.

Beenen Therapy Group Fees

Clients also pay Beenen Therapy Group separately for the psychotherapy portion of treatment.

Fees include:

Initial KAP consultation/intake session
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy sessions (typically 2–3 hours; we recommend beginning with a 3-hour session)
Post-KAP integration and follow-up sessions

KAP sessions are billed according to your therapist's hourly rate. Your therapist can provide you with their current rates and an estimate of the total cost of treatment. Our therapists rates typically range from $125-$165 an hour.
